Our Story
Lasqueti Island is a tiny little west coast oasis, an enchanting off the grid community that resides amongst the Gulf Islands in the Georgia Strait of BC. Just an hours ferry ride from Vancouver Island, Lasqueti is home to a highly educated and artistic community.

With approximately 400 full-time residents and about twice as many summer folks, the exclusive members of this community have often only sold their artisanal items on island. Usually at the summer markets, a Christmas market, a yearly arts festival, at the local cafe and through word of mouth, from one community member to another at whatever opportunities are to be found.

Never before have Lasquetian crafts, art & wares been available with such ease and convenience. Shop for unique items right where you sit with your tea.

The Future We See
Lasqueti Island Artisans Collective seeks to provide extended opportunity to both sell items year round and to reach a much broader market for an incredibly talented collective of artists and crafts people of many unique trades.

We see skills being shared through both physical and online workshops. We see our community growing beyond the waters that separate us from the rest of the world. We see closed doors opening and opportunity to share our art with anyone that wishes to share in it's beauty.

Our Artistic Values
We believe in art steeped in lost traditions and skills no longer valued. We value nature and organic process. Lasqueti Island Artisans Collective believes in equality for all without bias. We value our youth and providing space for the next generation to learn the skills that are otherwise not being passed along. Our values are rooted in building a culture that is diverse, creative, multi-generational and deeply engrained with a true love and respect for nature and a natural lifestyle.
